Social Security

A one-time benefit of $255.00 will be paid to a surviving spouse. Certain family members may be eligible to receive a monthly benefit: a widow or widower over the age of 60, a surving spouse who cares for a minor child under the age of 16, or unmarried children of a deceased younger than 18.
